Dr. Rachel Lam received her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from Towson University in 2023. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in speech-language pathology and audiology in 2019. Dr. Lam started her time at Chesapeake Hearing Centers in 2022 as a graduate clinician and completed her clinical residency here in 2023.
Dr. Lam’s clinical experience includes training at Towson University’s Institute for Well-Being, Live Better Hearing, Community Audiology Services, and Johns Hopkins Cochlear Implant Center. She has special interests in diagnostic testing, hearing aids, and cochlear implants. During her time at Towson University, Dr. Lam served as the social chair of Towson University’s National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA), where she planned and organized events to help build relationships among chapter members. Helping patients maintain the ability to communicate with others and stay active in their community is what drew Dr. Lam to the field of audiology. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys being outdoors, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.
