Dr. Elizabeth Procak received her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from Gallaudet University in 2022. She attended James Madison University as an undergraduate, earning her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2018. Dr. Procak started her time at Chesapeake Hearing Centers in 2021 as a graduate clinician and completed her clinical residency here in 2022.
Dr. Procak has previous internship experience in a variety of clinical settings, working with children and adults. Her clinical experiences have included training at the Gallaudet University Hearing Center; George Washington University Hearing Clinic; The Feldman ENT Group; and multiple private practice clinics. Along with the clinical experiences provided by these different facilities, Gallaudet University offered a comprehensive battery of educational opportunities including pediatric audiology, vestibular/balance education, tinnitus and hyperacusis, aural rehabilitation, cochlear implantation, and central auditory processing assessment, among others.
While at Gallaudet University, Dr. Procak served as the president of the Student Academy of Audiology’s (SAA) local chapter. As part of SAA, she participated in community service events and advocated for those with hearing and balance difficulties.
Dr. Procak’s areas of interest within the field of audiology include diagnostic audiometry, hearing aids, tinnitus, and vestibular diagnostic testing. She entered the field because she enjoys the ability to helping people reconnect with their loved ones through access to better hearing. When not in the clinic, Dr. Procak enjoys spending time by the water, hiking, and baking.
