Dr. Cortney Sperry received her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree in 2014 from Towson University. She received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with high honors in speech language pathology and audiology from Towson University in 2010, which included a yearlong program at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. She graduated as salutatorian from Wesleyan Christian School on the eastern shore of Maryland.
Dr. Sperry is a licensed audiologist in the state of Maryland and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA). She carries the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), which is awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Sperry’s clinical experience includes graduate student training at the Towson University Speech, Language, and Hearing Center; two semesters at ENTAA Care; and a semester at Harmony Hearing and Audiology in Bel Air, MD. Along with clinical rotations, the graduate program at Towson University incorporates many specialized courses, including pharmacology, vestibular (balance) disorders, cochlear implants, and tinnitus assessment and management.
Dr. Sperry enjoys being involved in the field of audiology and volunteering in the community at large. While a student, Dr. Sperry was the president of the Student Academy of Audiology at Towson University in 2011. In August 2016, she joined a Starkey Foundation mission to China, where she fit hundreds of hearing aids on those in need. Dr. Sperry chose the field of audiology and loves what she is doing because she believes in the power of communication; she hopes to help as many people as possible in breaking down barriers to effective communication. She enjoys testing and treating patients, including the pediatric population, with all types of hearing impairments.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sperry enjoys spending time with her husband, their three children, and their French bulldog. She and her family enjoy stand-up paddleboarding, camping, and keeping busy with the kids’ activities!
