Chesapeake Hearing Centers Donates to Haven Ministries
Did you know? Nearly every region of the United States has residents who are unhoused, without a place to call their own. That includes Maryland, which may have well over 6,000 people each day facing homelessness, per federal estimates.
Even our own community isn’t immune to the housing crisis and hardships others may face in getting — or keeping — a roof over their heads. It’s one of the reasons we recently donated to Haven Ministries, which is making a difference by providing food, shelter, and other critical resources to people in need.
Haven Ministries’ core goal is “helping people get back on their feet.” It’s a mission that’s easy for Chesapeake Hearing Centers, a practice dedicated to helping people live their best through better hearing health, can easily get behind.
And as the ministry works toward a future goal of building a pair of homes that will include housing and voluntary case management, it invites others to pitch in through contributions such as:
- Volunteering one’s time
- Providing financial support
It’s pretty inspiring what Haven Ministries is accomplishing. A testament to the resilience of our community and willingness to aid others who may be experiencing difficult times. Home is where the heart is, and our hearts are with all those who play a part in keeping our community moving forward.
