Donation to Local High School Celebrates Life of Beloved Student
At Chesapeake Hearing Centers, team members and patients are like family. So it hit hard when one of our own, patient care coordinator Carol Johnson, lost a loved one.
Carol’s youngest daughter, Morgan, passed in her sleep in early March. To honor Morgan’s memory, we dedicated our monthly charitable donation in April to a program at her high school.
Our monthly donation initiative, launched in November 2021, sets aside funds from hearing aid sales to give to local charities selected by our caring staff. The list of organizations the fund has benefited continues to grow.
Some of the entities helped thus far:
- Worcester County Humane Society
- Hospice of the Chesapeake
- SPAN Inc.
- Haven Ministries
For the April donation, we were pleased to contribute to North Dorchester High School, where Morgan attended. The funds were especially slotted for the school’s annual senior play, which had a special place in Morgan’s life.
Our hardworking team and the people we’re privileged to serve every day help make it possible for us to give back.
