Charles Hutto

Audiologist

Dr. Hutto graduated from the University of Maryland with high honors, did graduate studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, and earned his Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He has served as consultant audiologist to the State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Crippled Children’s Division, and various county health departments. In 1975 he founded the first audiology clinic outside the public health sector in the state of Maryland. Chesapeake Hearing Centers has grown to serve Anne Arundel County and the Eastern shore with seven offices and a professional staff of audiologists and hearing aid dispensers

Caroline Aland

Audiologist

Caroline Aland, Au.D, has been a resident of Kent Island and private practitioner with Chesapeake Hearing Centers since 1986. Dr. Aland received her bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee University in communicative disorders, her master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in audiology, and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. Her compassionate approach, professionalism, and special expertise in counseling and fitting computer-programmable hearing instruments are valuable assets to our practice, our patients, and the community.

Cortney Butler

Audiologist

Dr. Cortney Butler received her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree in 2014 from Towson University. She received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with high honors in speech language pathology and audiology from Towson University in 2010, which included a year-long program at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. She graduated as salutatorian from Wesleyan Christian School on the eastern shore of Maryland.

Kristin Wilson

Audiologist

Dr. Kristin Wilson, Au.D., received her doctorate from Towson University and fulfilled her clinical fellowship requirements with Chesapeake Hearing Centers. Dr. Wilson can be seen in our Ocean Pines and Salisbury (East Park) offices for basic audiologic and tinnitus assessment, cerumen management, hearing device evaluation and counseling, and other hearing device troubleshooting and repair services. She also evaluates and treats patients who have dizziness or vertigo problems in our East Park office.

Dr. Tyler Raup, Au.D., received his Doctorate in Audiology from Towson University after completing his clinical fellowship here at Chesapeake Hearing Centers. He attended Penn State University as an undergraduate and earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. His clinical interests include amplification and hearing aids, tinnitus management, and vestibular (balance) assessment.

Mariya Elizabeth Hutto

Hearing Aid Dispenser

Mariya Hutto has served patient needs at Chesapeake Hearing Centers since 2002. Her expertise is in guiding patients through the journey to better hearing, including evaluation, counseling on communication strategies, and the fitting and management of hearing aids. She is licensed to dispense hearing aids by the state of Maryland, and sees patients in both Severna Park and Columbia. Her favorite part of working at Chesapeake Hearing Centers is building relationships with the many people she meets every day.

Dr. Pomycala, Au.D. entered the field of audiology because she has a strong passion for helping individuals with hearing loss. She has traveled to Cambodia and Nicaragua on hearing mission trips, where she had the opportunity to fit hearing aids for those in need.
